Job Title: Facilities Assistant
Job Type: Independent Contractor-Part Time Temporary
Hours: Variable 10-30 Hours/Week. Flexible Scheduling. Some Eves./Wknds.
Pay: DOE

Qualifications:

Possesses history of superior employment performance and references.

Ability to perform basic cleaning, painting, organizing, and light carpentry tasks both independently and under supervision.

Access to licensed, insured and reliable transportation on a semi-regular basis.

Knowledge of accurate and safe use of simple hand tools including but not limited to: tape measure, hammer, pliers, level, wire cutters, utility knife, drill, radial saw, mitre saw, etc.

Knowledge of or interest in handling, shipping and installation of works of fine art.

Job Responsibilities:

Facilities Support: Complete simple manual labor tasks in the cleaning, painting, reorganizing and remodel of art gallery and art studio space.

Art Handling: Receive, inventory, label, install, de-install, pack, and ship artwork.

Facility Maintenance: Perform routine gallery cleaning, painting, organizing, furniture moving, and light carpentry tasks.

This position is intended to provide periodic support to a working artist with a studio practice located within a contemporary fine art gallery setting. The Assistant will be exposed to many aspects of gallery management and operation, as well as a variety of approaches to contemporary art. Conrad Wilde Gallery is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
