Lorrie Fredette - Artist Statement

I collect and record information such as politicians’ public travels and the microscopic imagery of a scorpion’s claw. Once stored, it becomes inaccurate because it is no longer contained in its original context. I then analyze the stored data looking for spatial patterns. The analysis is distorted because the studying is as flawed as the collection. The work then becomes about the biased and fictitious findings.
